Five goal Thanda rout Spurs

Thanda will be back at home on Sunday afternoon in a local derby against Real Eagles

THANDA Royal Zulu swamped Witbank Spurs 5-1 on a waterlogged uMhlathuze Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. In the process they moved to a clear two point lead at the top of the NFD log.

The visitors drowned in wave after wave of Amabhubesi attacks. Leading the charge was hit man Mhlengi Cele, who bagged a personal tally of four goals to make him the league’s top goal scorer.

The other goal came from Sduduzo Dlamini. Despite the one blemish – a soft goal that slipped in with keeper Siyabonga Mbatha laying injured on the ground – this was a perfect display by Thanda whose speed and accuracy belied the treacherous underfoot conditions.

Thanda will be back at home on Sunday afternoon in a local derby against Real Eagles as they aim to put a firm seal on their dominance of the NFD.

A bumper crowd should be there to support them.

Kick-off is at 3pm.
