School duo hand out golf lessons
The next golf day will take place on Saturday, 29 October at the Felixton Country Club, where players will play 27 holes
GRANTHAM Park Primary School principal George van Wyk and colleague Stephan Strydom dished out some golf lessons to opponents at the uMhlathuze Golf Club competition at Monzi Country Club on Saturday.
The duo carded 43 points for victory with long, straight drives, accurate chipping and pin-point putting.
Golfers followed a 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford format over 18 holes.
Leon Loots and Andre Spies finished in second spot with 38 points.
Van Wyk went on to claim the monthly mug title after carding 39 points during his round.
Deena Naicker won the hidden birdie competition, after birding the par 4 18th.
Dolf Marais took the longest drive award, with Dwaine Baker (3) and Simon Griffith (5) claiming the nearest to pin prizes.
