Can you help LifeLine?

Handymen needed to help at LifeLine centre

IF you missed doing your 67 minutes of charity on Mandela Day, LifeLine Zululand is hoping you can lend a hand at their premises in Bauhinia Bend, Arboretum.

‘We are very fortunate that our counselling room was recently renovated thanks to a donation from KZN Slots, but it needs a bit more to be done and we are hoping for help, either with manpower or donations,’ said LifeLine Director Michelle Jewlal.

‘It needs new tiles, a locking device for the sliding door and a bathroom door.

‘The outside needs an awning as the door is exposed and we also need curtains and rails for the sliding door.

‘The counselling room will need to be furnished accordingly with proper seating and a little table (we have a bed).’

The LifeLine centre is also battling with electrical problems which need qualified inspection as lights and buzzers work intermittently and the DB is poorly marked.

‘The outside carport lights don’t work either. I suppose the cable feed needs to be checked.

‘The gate motor gives endless problems and needs to be raised off the ground.

‘We need new signage plus repair of the retaining wall, while a few rain leaks need mending.

‘Damaged paving also needs attention.’

If you can assist, please call Michelle on 082 5544244 or Dave on 072 3920511.
