AN Aquadene resident on Sunday evening left his bedroom carrying his three-month-old baby when he was confronted by two armed intruders in the passageway.
The suspects fired two gunshots, fortunately missing the infant but wounding the father, who then collapsed and dropped his child. The infant sustained injuries in the fall.
Both robbers fled without stealing any property.
The victims were rushed to Ngwelezana Hospital where they are still recovering from their injuries.
A case of attempted murder was opened at the Richards Bay SAPS.
