Bay dancer showcases abroad

The former Richards Bay High School pupil caught the eye of international talent scout and director of ARTS Convention Orlando Florida, Kim Myers during last year's auditions in Durban.

RICHARDS Bay dancer, Talisa Cornwall is ready to rock the international stage at the 2016 Applause Rising Talent Showcase (ARTS) in Orlando, Florida later this month.

Attending the ARTS convention from 25 July to 4 August, the young versatile performer has her sights on winning over industry leaders in showbiz with her passion for the arts.

The former Richards Bay High School pupil caught the eye of international talent scout and director of ARTS Convention Orlando Florida, Kim Myers during last year’s auditions in Durban.

She is living her dream and working as a professional dancer at Dance Movement Youth Company in Durban and has been travelling to Johannesburg for castings for commercials, dancing shows, functions, interviews and dance performances on YOTV(SABC1) as well as judging at modelling events.

‘Since being scouted, the journey has been exhilarating and I’m excited to have been afforded the opportunity to attend this event.

‘My greatest dream is to make it big in Hollywood, to prove to everyone that no dream is to big and if you are not afraid of your dream then it is not big enough.

‘I want to make my parents Jacqueline and Antonio proud and pay them back for all that they have done and given me to get me this far.

‘I would love to be recognised by choreographer Jennifer Lopez, get a contract with icon studios, true model management as well as Tyler Perry studios.’
