UPDATE: Empangeni officials announce water cuts

EMPANGENI residents can expect  water interruptions between 3pm today and 4am tomorrow morning.

This according to municipal officials who also revealed that tests undertaken by the city ascertained the cause of this morning’s murky water is due to low reservoir levels, and not a pipe burst.

Despite the planned outage, reservoir water is being purified and should be completed by 6pm.

However, residents are still advised to avoid consuming tap water in the interim.
