Bikers roar for SPCA

The aim is to raise funds and collect donations of cash, food or blankets for the Empangeni SPCA

THE Alligators biker club in conjunction with RBay Coast Entertainment will be hosting a charity run on Saturday, 2 July in aid of Empangeni SPCA.
‘The aim is to raise funds, collect donations of cash, food or blankets, to publicise the needs of the hard-working SPCA and to thank them for their efforts,’ said event co-ordinator Marrisa Jones.
‘Bikes of all sizes as well as scooters and even cars are welcome to join the ride.
‘It starts at 7.30am at the Caltex garage opposite McDonald’s in Richards Bay and proceeds to Mustangs on the waterfront for a short breakfast stop.
‘From there it is on to the No Rules Club in KwaMbonambi, estimated time around 9.30 to 10.30am, following which we proceed to Cassanieto’s in Empangeni.
‘A truck will be accompanying us to collect donations at each stop.
‘The end destination is the Alligators ‘swamp’ in Tanner Road where a chicken curry lunch will be served and an afternoon of entertainment, music, a demo by the police K9 Dog Unit and loads of prizes will add to the fun.
‘We really hope the public will embrace this event and lend their full support,’ said Marrisa, who can be contacted on 079 9811785 or email marrrissajones@gmail.com
