Fun day for Thanda fans

THANDA Royal Zulu Football Club will be hosting an awesome Supporters Fun Day at the Richards Bay sports complex on Wednesday, 16 December.

The community outreach programme is to spread the Christmas spirit to their fans, and raise awareness on various social ills.

Fans will get a chance to battle it out in soccer, netball, aerobics and boxing.

The initiative is opened to various teams in the region.

‘This is first and foremost a thank you to the fans who have supported us this year and in the past.

‘We also want to play our part during the 16 days of activism by bringing it to the community.

‘More especially we want to support the fight against HIV/Aids and other social ills affecting our country.

‘We need to keep youth busy and away from substances that lead to bad behaviour,’ said Thanda’s media officer, Sihle Mtshali.

‘We extend an invitation to all clubs in the region and community members to be part of the celebration.

‘We will have loads of entertainment for children including jumping castles and other games.

‘At the moment we looking for sponsorship from various companies willing to assist in making the day a success,’ he said.
