Richards Bay teacher shot in his home

A Ntongande High School teacher died after an intruder gunned him down yesterday.

A NTONGANDE Secondary School teacher was shot in his Mzingazi cottage yesterday morning.

The 38-year-old teacher was attacked in his residence at Hlekwayo Cottages at 1.30am, shot twice in the chest and abdomen and was robbed of his cellphone.

According to Richards Bay SAPS spokesperson, Captain Debbie Ferreira a neighbour heard a noise and went to investigate and found the wounded man lying in front of his door.

The neighbour rushed him to Netcare The Bay Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.

No suspects have yet been arrested.

This comes days after Eshowe vice-principal at Nomyaca High School, Thokazi Duduza Mkhwanazi  was killed.
