5 rhinos killed in Hluhluwe

A special rhino poaching unit is investigating an attack on 5 rhinos over the weekend.

FIVE white rhino were reportedly killed by poachers in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve this weekend.

While details are sketchy, it is understood 3 were shot and 2 were darted in three different locations in the park.

The poaching incident took place on Saturday and the rhinos were discovered on Sunday afternoon.

A special task team is on the scene, more details to follow.
