Teens now allowed to have sex

CHANGES to the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment bill have been adopted by the National Assembly, effectively giving teens the right to choose to have sex.

The Bill, which is now law, decriminalises sex between consenting adolescents, stating that children between the ages of 12 and 15 can consent to sexual acts with each other.

Some are saying it will force parents to take a more proactive role in sex education and push government to educate youngsters about the dangers of sexual acts.
