Three records smashed at athletics day

NOTHANDO Ngcobo, Xaxson Saraiva and Luyanda Zondo set new records at the Grantham Park Primary School Inter-House Athletics Competition held over three days.

Impala, Eland and Duiker Houses competed in track events on Tuesday, field events on Wednesday and cross-country on Thursday.

The field events saw the athletes competing in high jump, long jump and shot put and completing 2km, 3km and 4km in the cross-country.

At the end of the day, it was Impala House who bagged the House Trophy and bragging rights after ending on 847 points.

Eland House finished second with 623 points with Duiker wrapping up the podium on 257 points.
