Celebrity invests in Zululand youth

SABC sports presenter and actress, Minenhle Dlamini will be in town tomorrow (Friday).

SABC sports presenter and actress, Minenhle Dlamini heads to Zululand on Friday to encourage local youth to focus on their education and choose careers wisely.

The celebrity has singled out two schools in the KwaMthethwa Reserve to hand over five bursaries to deserving Grade 9 pupils in Maths and Science.

Balondo High and Sibonokuhle High will further benefit from a science laboratory and computer room respectively.

The Department of Sports and Recreation will also assist with the construction of a sports ground facility.

The campaign spearheaded by Empangeni radio station Icora FM runs in conjunction with the uThungulu District, uMfolozi Municipality and Department of Education.

The project will culminate in a ‘Youth for Youth’ dinner on sports and education at Protea The Richards Hotel on Friday at 6.30pm.

Dlamini as well as uThungulu District Deputy Mayor Thulani Mashaba will address the gathering joined by guest performer Khaya Mthethwa.
