IT has been nearly a month since Empangeni’s ‘satanic’ serial rapist claimed his fifth victim.
On 19 May the rapist, who has sexually assaulted five different women since April in and around the Empangeni area, lured a 27-year-old woman into his trap using social media.
Police have now warned women around KZN to be vigilant as they suspect he may have relocated after a manhunt was launched.
After the spate of attacks that heralded his modus operandi, and numerous news reports, there have been no similar incidents reported in Zululand since May.
The suspect has been described as being in his late 30s to early 40s with tattoos on his arms, one of which is a snake on his left arm.
According to reports he has a silver inlay on his front tooth shaped like an upside down ‘T’.
The rapist warned his victims that if they reported the attack, he would kill them by ‘satanic spirit’ and snakes would grow in their stomachs.
