Shark nets removed due to rough seas

Standby for severe weather in KwaZulu-Natal.

SHARK nets will be lifted as large swells and rough seas are due to hit the coastline tomorrow.

According to a SA Weather Service report, waves may reach as high as 7 metres by Thursday evening.
KZN Sharks Board started removing the shark nets today to prevent the high tides from dislodging, damaging the shark safety gear.
The SA Weather Service warned the rough seas were the result of a cut-off low weather system. This can bring a range of severe weather, including torrential rainfall, snow and violent winds.
The cut-off low was affecting the Cape province and was expected to reach KZN today.
