UPDATE: Poisoned cattle owners block Hluhluwe road

VIDEO: Motorists are urged to enter and exit the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Park via Nyalazi.

MOTORISTS are urged to proceed with caution along the N2, where protesters have reportedly blocked the Hluhluwe/Sodwana off-ramp from the highway and are not allowing access to the Memorial Gate of Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Park. The P453 road has been obstructed.

They are toy-toying and burning tyres and threatening to block the highway.
Commanding Officer of the Empangeni Public Order Policing Unit, Col At Slinger confirmed the protest action, which is being led by community members who last week lost their cattle to poison.
It was also reported that Arnold Raath of Kaas Farm, where 28 cattle died from poisoning, is in the process of evacuating the premises.
