POLICE are on high alert as 48 Mandlazini protest0rs make their first appearance at the Richards Bay Police Station this afternoon.
The accused will not be appearing in the Magistrate’s Court due to the large size of the group.
A mobile court has been set up inside the police station to accommodate the court proceedings.
Police arrested 43 community members for public violence and five others for setting the Mandlazini community hall on fire this week.
A crowd has gathered outside the police station to support the accused.
