Dealerships roll in at new office park

Four motor dealership brands will occupy showrooms at the new John Ross Parkway development

FOUR new motor dealership brands will line up in showrooms to be built at the John Ross Eco Junction development near the N2 between Richards Bay and Empangeni.

The 195 000m² mixed-use commercial development has its first tenant in Tangawizi Motors, which signed a 10-year lease agreement to show off its brands Hyundai, Daihatsu, Renault and Honda.

‘We are excited to be part of John Ross Eco Junction – the site is ideally situated with great visibility from the main arterial roads, which can only be good for our business,’ said Tangawizi Motors General Manager Eddie Reid.

‘Our clients can look forward to state-of-the-art showrooms, a fully comprehensive parts department and a 20-bay workshop which will alleviate long lead times, when our customers want to service their cars.’

Developers Liberty Properties said preparation for the large park is ongoing and is expected to be complete by the end of April followed by construction of the dealerships and other tenant premises on more than 30 sites.

‘Once the development is complete, the four dealerships will occupy a total floor space of about 7 060m²,’ said Liberty Properties in a statement.

‘The sites are appropriate for commercial workshops, light industrial, motor dealerships, general showrooms, office buildings, warehouses, wholesale and mini factory units.

‘The development will primarily serve areas around the greater uMhlathuze Municipality which includes Richards Bay, Empangeni, KwaMbonambi and Mtunzini.’
