One injured in Empangeni Friday rush-hour accident

The two-vehicle crash occurred just before 5pm at the John Ross intersection with the N2 on-ramp.

ONE person was seriously injured and two others, including a toddler, sustained minor injuries in a rush-hour accident in Empangeni earlier this evening (Friday).

One of the vehicles rolled, causing one occupant to become entrapped.

Mounties EMS and KZN EMS attended the scene and freed the injured man from the wreckage.

All injured were treated at the scene by paramedics, and the seriously injured man was transported to hospital for further medical care.

Traffic was severely backed up along the Empangeni-bound carriageway on the John Ross, and the traffic department was quick to arrive on scene to direct the vehicles.
