Stolen vehicle recovered, arrests made in eManguzi

The suspects were remanded in custody until next week when they will apply for bail

TWO men have appeared in the KwaNgwanase Magistrate’s Court in connection with a stolen vehicle that was recovered in eManguzi on Tuesday evening.

eManguzi police were conducting routine patrols at Ekuthukuzeni  and eManguzi when they spotted a suspicious-looking vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped and searched, and it was established that the vehicle had been stolen in Hillcrest in March.

The two suspects, aged 27 and 44, were placed under arrest for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

They appeared in court yesterday and were remanded in custody until next week for a formal bail application.

KZN Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula commended the police officers for the arrest of the suspects.
