Anxious family seeks missing woman

The Ngema family of Masangweni Reserve outside Melmoth, is still searching for their missing daughter

THE Ngema family of Masangweni Reserve outside Melmoth, is still searching for their missing daughter, Thobeka Ngema (22), who went missing on Saturday, 12 September.

Her aunt, Gloria Mncwango, said Thobeka left her place of work at Udondolo outside Empangeni to go back home.

‘Thobeka was employed as a domestic worker, but she never arrived at her home.’

According to her employer, Thobeka was dropped off in the Empangeni central business district at about 10am, but she never came home.

‘We have searched everywhere for her.

We have been to Ngwelezana Hospital and visited various state mortuaries, but we can’t find her.

‘She left her five-year-old daughter at home and the baby is always asking for her,’ said Mncwango.

King Cetshwayo Cluster Police spokesperson, Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose, said a missing person’s docket was registered at Empangeni SAPS.

‘We urge anyone who might have information about Ngema’s whereabouts to contact the investigating officer Lieutenant-Colonel Dudu Mnguni on 082 5570049,’ said Mdlalose.
