eShowe singing star Dave Starke back on stage

ESHOWE-based singer-songwriter Dave Starke is hosting his first live performance in recent months at The Knoll Historic Guest Farm tomorrow (Saturday) at 9am as part of ‘The Aesthete – Drive-through Art Experience‘, which will also be live-streamed on Facebook.
The Aesthete is a collective of young artists based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands who have come together with the purpose of promoting arts and culture in the area.

Art, music and dance can be experienced from the comfort of your own home and the music will be broadcast from the stage to FM radio receivers within a 5km radius.

Starke will next week present a live-streamed performance of his critically acclaimed show ‘Leonard Cohen – A Tribute‘ on Wednesday (7 July).

Starke’s music is lyric-driven, performed on guitar with occasional touches of percussion and some very haunting whistling.
For Dave, it’s all about telling stories, so the voice is the most important instrument and everything else is there to be a support structure for the narrative.
His album ‘Duende‘ was released in January 2019.
His most recent album ‘Shifting Boundaries‘ was released in March this year.
