Garden project rolled out in Mthonjaneni

More than 1 000 families will benefit from the programme

TEN families received seedlings and static water tanks last week during the roll-out of the One Home, One Garden programme in the Mthonjaneni Municipality.

King Cetshwayo District Deputy Mayor, Lindo Phungula, got stuck in to help plant a garden in Mthonjaneni

The initiative in ward 7, launched by KZN MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Bongi Sithole-Moloi and King Cetshwayo District Deputy Mayor, Lindo Phungula, will benefit 1 017 families.

The One Home, One Garden programme was first launched in the Zululand District Municipality by KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala as part of ongoing efforts to combat poverty and encourage families in all districts to take up gardening to ensure food security.
