THANKS to information received from the public, the North Coast Anti-Poaching (NCAP) team was able to again foil illegal fishing on Lake Mzingazi last week.
At about 3.45pm last Monday, a member of the community alerted NCAP to a vehicle towing a boat to the lake.

After a search, the boat and suspects were spotted, but the suspects fled into the nearby bushes as NCAP members approached.
The boat and 1.2km of nets were recovered and it is believed the perpetrators were intercepted on their way to deploying the nets.
NCAP thanked the community for their support of anti- poaching efforts, and for reporting illegal and criminal acts pertaining to nature conservation.
