Food parcels delivered to Mandeni care facilities
Mandeni mayor urged the business sector to also contribute during this challenging time
TWO facilities caring for vulnerable people in Mandeni received consignments of food parcels from Mayor Thabani Mdlalose.
The House of Hope and Recovery and Ikhwezi Welfare were the beneficiaries of the generous donations.

‘These two government facilities had written to us requesting our intervention with food parcels during the lockdown period,’ said Mdlalose.
‘These facilities are crucial society service providers and we could not ignore their requests, as they deal with abuse and rape victims, and disabled people.
The mayor urged the business sector to also contribute during this challenging time.
He encouraged people to wear face masks at all times and to obey social distancing to minimise the spread of the coronavirus.
