Join us in a show of unity this Friday

The ZO is calling on locals to get creative and share videos of themselves and their families singing the national anthem on Friday

LOCALS are encouraged to rise above the dark days brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and show solidarity by singing the national anthem this Friday.

President Cyril Ramaposa has called on citizens to demonstrate their solidarity by displaying the South African flag on social media (#PrayForSouthAfrica), outside their homes and in other prominent places as an act of compassion and unity during the national lockdown.

Also, in a show of national pride and unity, radio stations across the country, including East Coast Radio, will be playing the South African anthem every Friday at 1pm.

The 21-day lockdown signifies a painful time, but as history has proven, South Africans are known to conquer challenges when putting forward a united front.

The ZO encourages locals to take a video of themselves singing the national anthem and email it to Erica@zob.co.za.

The best videos will be shared across our online platforms to spread hope during these bleak times.
