KWAMSANE police are beefing up patrols in the Mfekayi Reserve area near Mtubatuba as it has become a crime hot spot.

According to KwaMsane SAPS spokesperson, Captain Jabulani Mdletshe, another vehicle was stolen in the reserve recently.

‘On Friday at about 11pm a white Toyota Corolla was stolen during a house robbery near Ntsabalelele Primary School.

‘Five armed suspects entered the home and demanded money and firearms.

‘The victim told them he did not have money or firearms.

‘The criminals then opened the victim’s wardrobe, took out his clothes and wallet and demanded his bank pin code.

‘One of them took the car keys and park it near the door. They loaded a television set, lap top and clothes into the vehicle before tying up the victim with a cable tie and driving off with the valuables and his car.

A case of house robbery has been opened and KwaMsane SAPS.
