THE eShowe Regional Court last Friday sentenced Ntokozo Dladla (36) to 15 years imprisonment after he was found guilty of murder.

It was heard that on the evening of Friday, 14 July last year, Dladla followed Sibusiso Gcwensa (54) to his home at Bulwer Street, eShowe and stabbed him in the chest and abdomen before fleeing.

Neighbours rushed to Gcwensa’s aid and the victim told Ntobeko Mhlongo he had been stabbed by Dladla.

Ncwensa was taken to the eShowe Hospital before being transferred to Ngwelezana Hospital, where he later died.

The case was handed to Det Const Mhlanga and the suspect was arrested two weeks later.

Gcwensa admitted to the murder, but never gave reasons for the murder, except that he had been drunk.
