THE suspect involved in a fatal shooting incident in Madlanzini on 3 January, was arrested the day after the incident after turning himself in at the Hluhluwe Police Station.
He made his first court appearance on Monday in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court.
In what is thought to be a domestic incident, the victim’s female cousin was at his homestead when the suspect arrived and attempted to remove her against her will.

An argument between the suspect and victim ensued and the victim was shot.
He was rushed to a clinic in Madlanzini where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The case has been remanded to Monday when the suspect will again appear in court for a formal bail application.
