NRB suffer another narrow loss

One goal down decides Richards Bay FC defeat

FOR the fourth time this year, Richards Bay FC lost by a single goal in going down 1-0 away to Super Eagles on Saturday via a rebound shot.

Add to this seven draws in the 14 fixtures to date, and league’s unluckiest side once more have nothing to show for their never-say-die efforts in the season’s National First Division competition.

‘Once again the boys played great football, especially in the first half, but without the result they deserved after creating plenty of chances,’ said NRB assistant coach Sello Ntuli.

‘We are very disappointed but I assure you, we will turn our season around. We are too good to be sitting where we are on the log.

‘Fortunately plenty of other teams are also losing games so we can easily climb our way up the table.’

That chance should come this Saturday at the uMhlathuze Stadium when they host Black Leopards in what should be an entertaining encounter. Kick-off is at 3.30pm.
