She was pronounced dead at 2:10am by KZN EMRS personnel. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.

It is believed Lienke was returning from a fund-raising event in aid of local bikers Riaan Kloppers and Yolandé Bester who were seriously injured in a collision in KwaMbonambi on Sunday.

Speaking to the ZO, Lienke’s eldest sister Nicolene Pretorius said her parents and the family are devastated.

Both Lienke and Wiebke belonged to the No Rules MCC bike club based in Richards Bay.

This is the second fatal motorbike accident in the area this week.

On Tuesday evening Carel Duvenage (37) lost his life after crashing into a truck on the John Ross Parkway.

The accident occurred in the vicinity of the sinkhole traffic diversion, and debris from his Kawasaki ZX10 R Ninja was scattered over hundreds of metres across the road.
