WATCH: One dead and five critical in bakkie accident
Five critical scholars still await assistance to be airlifted to the nearest hospital
A 14-year-old pupil died and six others have reportedly been critically injured after a school bus was involved in an accident this morning.According to Paul Herbst of IPSS Medical Rescue, the incident took place near Samungu Primary School, between Mandeni and eShowe, two hours away from the nearest hospital.
Eight pupils who sustained moderate injuries were taken to Samungu Clinic for further treatment.
One patient has since been airlifted to Ngwelezana Hospital.
Details of how the accident occurred have not yet been made known.
