US indictment implicates SA govt in FIFA scandal

The South African government and the 2010 Bid Committee have been named in a U.S. probe into corruption in soccer's governing body, FIFA. The world's most popular sport was plunged into turmoil yesterday as the U.S. Justice Department charged five executives and nine officials of FIFA.
