Family reunites with beloved dogs after harrowing ordeal

The Beukes family members are relieved to have their furry family members back at home

After they went missing, the Beukes family is overjoyed to have been reunited with their two dogs, Oreo and Fudge.

Oreo, a Staffy, was found near the SPCA, while Fudge, a Boerboel, was recovered in the family’s street, Gordon Road.

The family is grateful to the Good Samaritan who found Oreo and took care of her until they were reunited. Fudge, on the other hand, was recovered after a man was spotted walking with him in the street.

According to Hennie Beukes, who owns the dogs, he alleges that the man claimed to have bought Fudge from someone in an informal settlement.

They are also relieved to have their furry family members back at home, but the event has made them wary and concerned about their pet’s safety.

“My family and I are very grateful for getting our dogs back through the power of social media, which helped me locate my dogs after they posted about their disappearance on Witbank News’ Facebook page,” said Hennie.

Hennie and his family would like to thank everyone who helped recover their beloved dogs and notify the community to remain aware and report any suspicious activity to guarantee the safety of all pets.
