Criminals hook trailer to their own wagon

Apparently one of the suspects could be identified as he was wearing no face mask.

Robberies and house break-in cases are on a steady rise. One family in Tasbet Park had quite a shock when they noticed their trailer has magically disappeared overnight.

Luckily the family had a camera system installed and was horrified to see how easily the suspects gained access to their yard.

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 13 robbers took it upon themselves to brazenly help themselves to a trailer parked in the Matjila family’s yard.

Itumeleng Matjila said that the trailer was parked at the back of the yard.

“The robbers must have used a screwdriver or some instrument to break the mechanism on the electric gate motor. They first gained access to the yard by jumping the fence and proceeding to open the gate. In the video you can see them crawling for some reason,” said Itumeleng.

After circulating the video on social media groups, Itumeleng said that people have come forward identifying one of the suspects as a local mechanic; he did not cover his face.

Investigations are still underway and are yet to be confirmed.

Itumeleng said that he hopes the video material will help to bring these crooks to justice.
