Companions paid last respects to four young men at the memorial service

Memorial service held for the died in a head-on collision on the R25 on Sunday, May 29.

“We really lost future leaders,” said Tumelo Ngobeni, director of Lucid Deep Production.

On Friday, June 3 it was a very heartbroken day in Extension 3 at Hlalanikahle Community Hall when friends, colleagues, and family emigrated to the remembrance to honor their beloved.

The four men honoured are from Hlalanikahle Ext 3: Vusi Shongwe, Innocent Malaza, Given Dhlamini and Lehlohonolo Moeketsi.

According to information received the four men died as a result of a head-on collision on the R25 on Sunday, May 29.

A Volkswagen Polo and a Mercedes Benz collided head-on the R25 between Verena and Dennilton.

The driver of the Polo and the three passengers died at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes Benz, who was alone in the car, sustained serious injuries and the cause of the crash is unknown at this stage.

“I don’t know where to begin because I’ve lost brothers, friends, colleagues, business partners, all at once. It’s unbearable, but we are trying,” said Tumelo.

These late gents were part of the Lucid Deep Productions, and Tumelo described them as the people who first and foremost loved music.

Life, hope and passion were given to them by music.

Vusi liked to say, ‘Music is love and, music is all we have’.

The gentlemen were caring, kind and passionate.

Some were moved to tears as they shared memories of their loved ones, while others were unable to handle it, because it was too much for them.

On Saturday, June 4 they were all laid to rest.
