The Magadze’s step up their music career

During the lockdown Pastors Tlhelani David and Constance Magadze worked on an album.

Pastor Tlhelani David and Mukelani Constance Magadze, commonly known as Pastor TD and MC recently launched their new album called: ‘In the presence of the Lord’.

Pastor TD is a senior pastor of Calvary Christian Church Rietspruit and a teacher at Sibongamandla Secondary School in Thubelihle, Ga-Nala.

Together with his wife Pastor MC, an associate pastor in the church and a principal of Kwanala Primary School in Ga-Nala, they continue to pursue their musical dream.

The Limpopo born couple both started singing while in primary school and extended to tertiary level.

They both sang in different adult choirs and led the worship in their different churches when they met each other.

The couple got married in 1999 and started singing together traditional gospel music.

“We express our love for God through music, we worship in church, and sing at weddings, church conferences, funerals and other functions,” said Pastor MC.

They tried to release their first album some years ago but because of their commitment to teaching, they didn’t have time to focus on music.

In 2021, during the lockdown, they worked on an album, as this was an allowing time to exercise their talent.

The harmony they bring in their duets is amazing, “our voices know each other and this makes it easier to work together” said Pastor MC; they also regard themselves as a ‘power couple’ as some of their fans call them.

With all the pressure from their daily jobs and pastoring, they refuse to give up on their music; they are planning to drop another album and music video before the end of the year.

They ask for people around Rietspruit and eMalahleni to support their music by buying CDs and listening on all musical digital platforms.
