Plan your next Kruger holiday

Planning is easy with this travel-friendly guide to Kruger National Park.

We may not be able to travel just yet, but my goodness nothing can stop us planning. One of our favourite destinations in Kruger National Park. So while we’re spending weekends safely at home, we’re planning our routes for a self-drive around the park just as soon as we’re able.

Making this so much easier is our copy of  Kruger Routes – Self-Drive Companion, a travel-friendly companion book to the hardcover Kruger Self-Drive.

This soft cover version may be smaller, but it’s crammed with everything you need … from a complete map of the park with suggested routes from the main camps, coupled with many interesting facts and glorious photographs.

There are descriptions of all routes, including amenities and recommendations on each, a useful The Nine Best Drives list, tips on park opening times, seasons, rainfall and weather, all of which help in planning an ideal trip into the park.

Distances, hotspots and road ratings add to the extensive knowledge and assistance this travel book offers to new and seasoned park visitors.

The book has been put together by the Van den Berg family … who photograph, write and publish books on wildlife and the environment. Their close association with nature has taken them on many journeys of discovery into the remotest parts of southern Africa. Passionate about the environment and wildlife, they spend as much time as possible in wild places, studying the intricate interactions and relationships of plants and animals.

This guidebook is the culmination of practical bush knowledge gained by observation and study over many years.

The book is also available in Afrikaans (Kruger-Roetes Safarigids), and costs R450. Order from hphpublishing.co.za
