Most shops not open for business in CBD, rest of eMalahleni buzzing

Shopping centres and shops in the Central Business District (CBD) closed their doors and gates on Monday for precautionary measures for the protection of their staff members and their customers.

On Tuesday, July 13 only a few shops were open in the CBD but most remain close in fear of being looted.
In Klipfontein shopping centres and various other small shops are open to the public and it is business as usual.

Highveld Mall will be trading today as normal, they are in contact with Witbank Police Station and all necessary precautions have been taken to protect customers.
At Ben Fleur Boulevard it’s business as usual all the shops are open.
Highways and other roads are open but road users should be vigilant when travelling as things can change very quickly with some tension in the air after protest incidents on roads in Phola (Ogies) and Ga-Nala (Kriel) last night.
