The Classic Car Show at Nasrec Expo Centre

This coming Sunday, the Nasrec Expo Centre will be hosting The Classic Car Show. More than 1000 cars are expected to attend the event.

South-west of Johannesburg the Nasrec Expo Centre is expected to be filled with a mix of British, European and American classic cars. Taking place on Sunday, 7 July 2019, The Classic Car Show will present a number of specialist car builders present their latest creations. Visitors are expected to see a variety of vehicles celebrating different eras and demographics in motoring history.

On the open-air fields, there will be a mix of European and Japanese classic cars alongside a big collection of American classics going by the name “Fins of the Fifties” brigade. “Most of these new top-drawer muscle cars and street rods will be located just outside Hall 5, although there will be some extra special cars inside Hall 5 as well,” Paulo Calisto, founder and organiser of The Classic Car Show.

For the VW fans, a selection of VW buses and Beetles are expected to be displayed while Mini fans can expect a large contingent from the Mini club ahead of the 60th-anniversary celebrations. More recent vehicles to display its patina will come in the forms of VW Golfs, Toyota Corollas and Conquests and BMW 3 Series vehicles.

While the owners of the display vehicles will gain free entrance to the event, guests can purchase tickets through Computicket at the price of R60 per adult or at the gate for R80 per adult and R20 for children under the age of 12. Classic car owners can gain access at 7 am while guests can enjoy the variety of activities in addition to the vehicle displays from 08:00 until 16:00.
