Musa is serious about making music at The Ridge

Musa Sukwene, eMalahleni born and raised, a musical giant who took on the Idols challenge and looked for only one thing, the first prize, has made sure that beyond that stage he strives to be number one.

December is a meaningful month for him, as he celebrates his birthday he wants to share his love for music and performing with the people that have influenced his journey, the people of eMalahleni.

Musa will be hosting a show at The Ridge Casino on December 22 to kick off his nationwide tour of the Mr Serious album, where he will serenade the public with his hits from the 11 track album. Featured on the show will be the likes of Robbie Malinga and Semito.

Musa has worked with the best in the game on the 11 track release that is executive-produced by hit maker Robbie Malinga. From the intro Hamba Nami with a strong tribal influence featuring DJ Cuebur and Andy Boy a listener is in for a great treat.

There are impressive musicality and production values that stand as testimony that Musa is serious about the craft. Ntsika Ngxanga from The Soil wrote and produced three songs for him, the love ballad Nomkhitha, the melancholy Phesheya kuMlambo and the high kicking Ndilalapho straight out of the 1960s jive scene.

“I am looking forward to perform for the people of eMalahleni, this is my home stage and I cannot wait to give you my best,” Musa said.

Tickets are available at R250 from Computicket.
