As the winter days are getting longer and colder the ladies from Waste-Me-not, Golden Hearts, decided to take on their 16th project.
They managed to knit 500 beanies for various charities to avoid freezing ears this winter.
Three charities were welcomed at Waste-Me-Not to receive the beanies on Wednesday, July 6.
The women from the Golden Hearts that knitted 500 beanies for various charities were at Waste-Me-Not on July 6 to hand over the beanies, all the charities were present to receive them.
Andries du Preez from CANSA received 420 beanies, Helene Schoeman from Solidarity Helpende Hande received 50 beanies and Colleen Calderhead from eMalalhleni Christian Family Church who helps out with the Klarinet Feeding scheme received 30 beanies.
The beanies were received with golden hearts.
