The win took Spurs to position six on the log with 33 points

Witbank Spurs displayed good football when they gave Pretoria University four of the best.

A moment of silence was observed before the start of the match between the two clubs. Spurs were on the roll as they showed their dominance over AmaTuks, as Pretoria University is also known.

While Tuks played long balls, Spurs played their short passes and catching AmaTuks on their breaks. Spurs Kabirou Koutche broke away and running with the ball in a straight line but failed to convert into a goal. Spurs forward Dumi Gumede failed to put the ball in the back of the net after breaking free.

AmaTuks back four led by Brandon Joshua maintained a good wall at the back preventing Spurs wing play. AmaTuks forward missed with a header with Spurs playing too deep giving AmaTuks ample space to play.

Man of the match, Joshua Sauls ran around AmaTuks defenders dribbling his way through them only to be brought down and a penalty was awarded.

In the second half Spurs continued where they left off and scored their second goal through Gumede. While AmaTuks, Koert Kyle and Ryan Chapman played well forward, Miguel Dias and Shane Poggenpoel played well in the middle of the park. Spurs played one of their best games and coming from a moral boosting 2-0 win over AmaZulu the team looks good going forward. Spurs goalkeeper saved a sure penalty from AmaTuks and Doctor Sikhosana controlled the middle field well.

Sauls was in the picture when he scored Spurs third goal after a good build up from the back and was back to put the final nail in the coffin, his third goal of the afternoon.
