As the second race for the league in Mpumalanga took place last week, eMalahleni cyclist held their name high.

As the second race for the league in Mpumalanga took place last week, eMalahleni cyclist held their name high.
The race took place on Saturday, August 6 at Curro Nelspruit. It was an enjoyable with lots of supporters routing for their school.

In the youth men race Jeandre Gautier, Damion Gomez and Adriaan du Plessis took part from Hoër Tegniese Skool.
In the junior boys category Ruben Smith from WH de Klerk.

In the Sprogs division was Nicholas Gautier, Jonathan Gautier, Noah Cullen and Keegan McKenzie in the Nipper category.

Jeandre came in second place, Damion in fourth and Adriaan in 16th place.

“I did a total of 18 kilometres, elevation was 260 and my average was 19km/h, top speed is 40 km and my total time was 56 minutes,” said Jeandre.

Ruben came in 17th in his category.

Nicholas came in fourth place, Jonathan in ninth place and Noah came in 16th position.
Keegan managed to finish in sixth place in the Nipper category.

The cyclists are looking forward to the next race which will take place on Saturday, August 20 at Curro Bankenveld.
