MP team does well at athletics champs

The Athletic Mpumalanga team did well at the SA 21km Championship in Port Elizabeth.

The Athletic Mpumalanga team did well at the SA 21km Championship in Port Elizabeth.
They brought back two medals on July 30 as Abednico Mashaba finished 14th overall and Collin Khoza finished 15th overall and came third in the age category of 35 years and over with a well deserved bronze medal.

Nel Mtweni came first in the age category of 50 years and over to win a gold medal.
It was a tough competition with a lot of international athletes and the fastest of SA athletes competed for the R50 000 prize money.

The team results are as follows:

Abednico Mashaba (1:04:12), Collin Khoza (1:04:19),
Nthuthuko Maseko (1:08:06), Graham Malinga (1:09:15),
Simon Sibisi (1:14:19), Nel Mstweni (1:15:04),
Nontokoza Dlamini (1:29:07).
