Jeandre gets his first podium in the series
After competing in the first two Spur Series mountain bike races and finishing in fifth and 12th place, Jeandre managed to get a third place at the Hoërskool Secunda race.
The race took place on Saturday, May 30. Jeandre started off badly in his category but with determination he slowly made his way through the crowd and managed to get into third place.
The Gautier twins Nicholas and Jonathan also took part in this race as their rugby season is finished.
Nicholas finished fourth and Jonathan in eighth place.
Jeandre will carry on training hard as this month he has a couple of races to compete in and he is looking at going to nationals.
On Saturday, June 20 Curro Bankenveld will be hosting one of the Spur Series races and Patrice Gautier, Jeandre’s father is designing the course.
