Spurs visited correctional centre

Spurs visited Witbank Correctional Centre, popularly known as Paxton, as part of their social responsibility programme.

Also the team has a team using its name campaigning in the inmate’s league.

The PR team, led by George Khumalo alongside first team players firstly watched a football match where Orlando Pirates (Inmate team), were pitted against our own Witbank Spurs in a final of the Heritage Cup. Siyavutha has been assisting the Spurs inmates’ side by donating playing kits to encourage them to participate in sports.

The PR team has also been paying regular visits to the centre and offering words of encouragement to all the inmates. Witbank Spurs has further committed itself to assist the correctional centre in ensuring that the rehabilitation process through sports is a success.
“Lastly we would like to thank the management of Witbank Correctional Centre and everyone involved for affording us the opportunity to relay message of hope to our brothers,” said Khumalo.
