ABC hosted a boxing tournament

The tournament between two camps was held on Saturday, October 25. Even the school principal, Mr A. Kubheka, and a member of the school governing body, Ms E. Mashabela, attended the tournament.

ABC Boxing Camp hosted a tournament at the Mecca of boxing in Phola, Thuthukani Primary School.

According to organiser, Paul ‘Sika’ Tshehla it was pleasure having them at the tournament.
One of the boxers, fighting in the Middleweight Division, Osea Mosehla, impressed again destroying the durable Emmanuel Mhlongo in the first round in an all action boxing bout. In his previous fight in February, Mosehla annihilated the then unbeaten prospect, Sydwell Mabena, eventually stopping him in the third round. The future looks bright for him, according to Tshehla.

*Ant-weight Division – Sihle Mtshweni (Home Style BC) beat Thando Dlamini (Phola) on points; Thokozani Motha (Home Style BC) beat Xolile Ndlovu (Emalahleni) on points; Sphamandla Mahluza (Phola) beat Siyabonga Masombuka (Home Style BC) on points, Jomo Mtshweni (Home Style) beat Kayise Rossie (Thushanang Primary School) on points, Sicelo Nkosi (Mthombeni Primary School) beat Mduduzi Mthombeni in a second round stoppage, referee stopped the fight;

*Mosquito Weight Division – Lucky Sithole (Phola) beat Hluphe Tshabalala (Home Style BC) on points.

*Spider Weight Division – Bheki Mdawe (Phola) beat Amos Khoza (Home Style BC) on points, Philani Ntuli (Phola) beat Siyabonga Tshabalala (Home Style BC) in a second round stoppage, Tshabalala retire by his seconds;

*Light Bantamweight Division – Somandla Nkosi (Home Style BC) beat Fotune Mtshweni (Emalahleni) in first round stoppage, retire by his seconds, Mandla Mokoena (Home Style BC) beat Siyabonga Motaung (Phola) on points.

*Seniors – Lucky Maziya (Phola) beat Bertus Mare (Home Style BC) in a second round stoppage, Mare retired by his seconds; Mpumi Maisela (Home Style BC) beat Tshepo Mazibuko (Phola) in a second round stoppage, Mazibuko retired on his own; Jetro Shabangu (Phola) beat Thulani Khoza (Home Style BC) in a first round stoppage, Khoza retire on his own; Osea Mosehla (Emalahleni) beat Emmanuel Mhlongo (Home Style BC) in a first round knockout.
