Bronze for Mpumalanga athletes

Mpumalanga Athletics Club received third place in the South African 42km Championship this year.

Mpumalanga Athletics Club received third place in the South African 42km Championship this year.

The athletes representing their province were proud to return with medals after the championships, which took place on September 21 in Cape Town.

The Mpumalanga team competed against 15 other provinces and was proud to take bronze this year. Central Gauteng was first- and Northern Gauteng took second prize.

The Mpumalanga athletes: Seun Moleshioa (Midack) came in fifth with a time of 2:22:14, Lovers Hlatshwayo (Nedbank LVCC), received 12th place (2:30:18), Japie Jele (Nkangala) came in 23rd (2:34:40) and Sipho Hlumbane (Eskom Athletic club) was the 35th athlete to finish the race (2:42:34).
