Action on the muddy track

Spectators were entertained once again at Loskop Oval Raceway as the youngest driver took part in the race.

On Saturday, July 5 drivers from all over arrived at the raceway ready to take on one another on the track.

The track started off very muddy, but later that evening the mud was gone and the cars were able to perform better on the sand.
Dylan Minnie, only nine years old, was officially the youngest driver who took part in the competition in the Rookies Class and managed to come in third.

In the Rookie class were Melanie van Rooyen (first), Rina du Preez (second) and Dylan Minnie (third).
During the 1660’s class Willie Swart won first, Henry Hall second and in third place was Tiaan Theron.

Trevor van Vollenstee won the 2-Litre class, in second place was Braam Riekert and in third place was Louwtjie Griessel.
The quad bike race was won by a woman, Simone Dreyer, in second place was Riaan Rossouw and in third place was Johan Oosthuizen.
Hendrik du Preez won the V8s and Salie Smit the Tin Tops.

Driver of the Day was awarded to Willie who started back of the pack in the first heat and second heat and still managed to finish first overall in the 1660 class.
